Chelsea Davis

Chelsea is a multi-genre songwriter & jazz vocalist. She studied Music Therapy at Chapman University in Southern California, where she worked as an Artist-in-Residence with the Johnny Mercer Foundation and the All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation, teaching lyric writing, music composition, singing, and percussion. She has co-written more than 800 songs with children. Music from her recording projects (JØAN, Empty Oceans, Chelsea Marie Davis, and Roseport) has been featured on Warner Brothers, NPR, CBS, MTV, Freeform, Apple, and CMT. She currently is co-writing a Broadway hopeful musical based on the life of Black classical singer and Civil Rights icon, Marian Anderson. She recently moved back to Cincinnati after a long stint in California and she's glad to be home! Chelsea teaches songwriting, musical theater, and vocal music for the Cincinnati Arts Association, Immanuel School of Music, The Carnegie, and The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.
