Dobin Park
Piano Faculty
Dobin Park is a pianist from Seoul, South Korea. Mr. Park graduated from Seoul Arts High School with concentration in Piano Performance and enrolled in Seoul National University, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Piano Performance. As Mr. Park was pursuing his Master’s degree, he was offered with a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Piano Department at Seoul National University. Mr. Park has given recitals as both a soloist and a collaborative pianist. He has also participated in music festivals and competitions both nationally and internationally, including Vienna Music Festival, Spain Arona Music Festival, Korea Music Journal Competition (First prize and Grand prize), Sejong Music Competition in Korea (Grand prize), and more.
Currently, Mr. Park is pursuing his Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) with full scholarship since 2015. He is studying with Professor Awadagin Pratt. During his time at CCM, Mr. Park has been awarded the First prize at CCM Piano Concerto Competition and played Chopin Piano Concerto No.1 in e minor with CCM Concert Orchestra at the Corbett Auditorium.
Since 2018, Mr. Park has been appointed as the Associate Music Director at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Newport, KY. As an associate music director, he directs the Chancel Choir and Bell Choir. In addition, Mr. Park is a tenor in Vocal Arts Ensemble in Cincinnati (OH), a group that has been nominated for Grammy Awards. Also, since 2020, he started as an Adjunct Piano Faculty and Staff Pianist at Northern Kentucky University.
