She also has training in Kaleidoscopes for Violin, an innovative new approach combining the principles of the Suzuki method, Kodaly, and the philosophies of Maria Montessori.
Megan incorporates creativity into her performing and teaching, with an emphasis on improvisation, basic compositional skills, and fluency in a variety of genres. Her experience collaborating with various independent musicians in non-classical genres has led to performances at local cultural touchstones such as Bunbury Music Festival, Midpoint Music Festival, and the Fountain Square summer series. In her teaching, she emphasizes musical creativity with the purpose of developing vital skills for her students’ futures, such as problem-solving and critical thinking, while offering fun and different experiences in the learning environment.
Megan is available to teach on violin and viola, via the Suzuki method or traditional lessons, to students of all ages.
