Rev. Dr. Michael Wooton

We are very excited and grateful to God to announce our next Senior Pastor for Immanuel Church, Rev. Dr. Michael Wooton.
Dr. Wooton will join us in the office on July 15 and preached his first sermon at Immanuel on July 28,
Dr. Wooton comes to us from Christ Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois (near St. Louis) where he has served as Senior Associate Pastor for the past nine years. During his service at Christ Church, Dr. Wooton oversaw the majority of key church staff and ministries, as well as administrative groups and he shared in preaching responsibilities across their three campuses. Prior to his time at Christ Church, Dr. Wooton was the Lead Pastor at two churches. Dr. Wooton and his wife, Valerie, have two girls, ages 8 and 11. Coming to Immanuel is a bit of a homecoming for them as he attended Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, and has his Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary (in addition to his Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Seminary).
God has blessed Immanuel greatly and, in our future, we will continue to adhere to our mission statement of “Making disciples by sharing faith and serving others.” We look forward to continuing our path with Dr. Wooton and his family.
